Are you open?
We will be reopening on April 26th to vehicles and campers with their own facilities, as due to restrictions we will be unable to open the facilities block until the 17th May.
Please do book now. If there are any changes to opening arrangements you can either move your booking or receive a full refund. That way you can be sure to secure your holiday.
How will you ensure that campers will be safe?
There is lots of space on our campsite, which makes physically distancing much easier for you and us. There is a minimum of 6 metres between each pitch, with even more generous spacing between many of them. This means you can relax and enjoy your holiday.
Our campsite has a well deserved reputation – and has won a number of awards – for cleanliness and quality. We continue to maintain outstanding standards in sanitisation, which should provide further reassurance for you and your family.
We have thorough plans following the detailed guidance from the Scottish Government and Camping & Caravanning Club.
You will be able to enjoy a restful or active holiday – whatever takes your fancy.
How do I book?
Please book online or on phone – 01456 486 333 OR 024 7647 5426. You will have needed to have paid in full before arrival. We won’t be taking any payments in our reception building. For your safety and ours please make sure you have phoned in advance to settle any outstanding payments.
Please note, if you are travelling with family and friends you will all need to book your parties individually. No family and friend group bookings will be possible in Camping and Caravanning Club sites.
What happens when we arrive?

A member of staff will meet you by reception, but please remain in your vehicle and/or maintain physically distancing rules. Please pay for any outstanding payment for your pitch via phone or online to the campsite before entering the site.
What happens if we can’t come?
Let us know before your arrival day so we can move your booking to a later date at your convenience. Just give us a call or send us an email and we will move your booking to whenever you like. If you aren’t sure when you would like to come we can put your booking on hold.
You are entitled to a 100% refund if the campsite is closed for any reason.
No pitching on site after 8pm so please ensure that you have arrived by that time. If you are delayed please phone the campsite on 01456 486 333 for further information and advice.
Will your wigwam cabins be available?
Yes, our wigwam cabins will be available once the campsite is open. Each one is very snug and cosy in the Autumn, with its own microwave, fridge, kettle and fire-pit. If you wish to book please give us a call on 01456 486 333, or book online
Is your shop open?
It is open when the campsite is open. If you would rather collect some things then give us a call and we will do our best to facilitate.
What about boating?
Unfortunately, it is not possible for us to rent out the boats during this time, because of the associated risks from COVID, but if you have your own canoes or kayaks launch from the shoreline is possible.
It is possible to launch your own (non-motorised) boats, kayaks, canoes, dingies, body board or indeed yourselves from our pontoon! We’ve seen a profusion of water sports this season, which is fantastic.
Anything else we need to know?
Please make sure you maintain physical distancing between you, other campers and staff. Physically distancing will be maintained though out the site
Also you should be aware that only campers and staff will be allowed on site. In line with Camping and Caravanning Club policy at this time – no visitors to the site.
What about group bookings and Meets?
Sadly, groups and Meets won’t be allowed to visit Camping and Caravanning Club sites during the 2020 season. This includes Loch Ness Shores.

Is it the site close to Loch Ness?
The site is right next to the banks of Loch Ness. We are one of the few sites with onshore access. The campsite is situated where the mouth of the river Foyers meets the loch.
How do I choose a pitch?
Our campers choose their pitch on arrival from the type they have booked and what is available. We don’t reserve pitches. If you have special requirements (eg limited mobility) then we will undertake to save you a suitable pitch. If you are travelling with family or friends please let us know when you book and we will do our best to pitch you together. However, we can’t guarantee this, particularly when it is busy.
We are open for check-in from 2pm-8pm during the summer months.
Is there a pub in the village?
We are very lucky that in a relatively small village, in addition to our own shop and bistro, there is a village shop, two cafes and a pub. The pub is a short 15 minutes walk – and it is all downhill on the way back!
Have you ever seen Nessie, the Loch Ness Monster?
You can come and ask people who live in the village of Foyers, where Loch Ness Shores is located, if they’ve ever seen the Monster. Some of them say that they have! There are two museums by Loch Ness all about Nessie, and we have mini Nessies in our shop!
