Our wigwam cabins are the perfect way to enjoy a relaxed holiday, glamping rather than camping! Because the cabins are so well ventilated they are perfect for a summer holiday but also a romantic winter break.

With outstanding views, beautiful outdoor area, with an individual fire pit and outdoor seating, it is the perfect place to relax and unwind.

What kind of Wigwam® cabins does your site have?

At Loch Ness Wigwams we have 4 Wee Braves and 4 Big Chiefs.

The wee brave wigwam offers comfortable accomodation for up to 4.
The Big Chief is a little bigger, accommodating 5, with a bit more space.

When is your site open?

Our site is open all year round. Every. Single. Day. Summer holidays, Christmas and New Year get booked up in advance – so don’t miss out!

Do you allow dogs/ pets? If so, is there a pet charge?

Yes, we love dogs and pets visiting Loch Ness Shores. There is a charge of £5 GBP per stay.

Is the site suitable for children?

Yes, our site is suitable for children. We have a great play area, plenty of space for kicking a ball about, and a lots of places to explore and learn about nature. In the holidays we also have special family friendly activities. Check out our special events page.

Do you accept groups, parties, or celebrations?

We do not accept stag or hen partying. However, we welcome families.

Do you allow campfires?

Yes, campfires will be one of the highlights of your stay!

We charge £5 for a bucket of wood for your fire, and ask that you don’t gather firewood from the shoreline or from trees, as it disturbs the flora and fauna.

What is included in one of your standard Wigwam® cabins?

Our standard Wigwam® includes a fridge, a microwave, a heater, a kettle, a fire pit, an outside table and a bench.

Is electricity included in the tariff?

Yes, electricity is included in the tariff.

What cooking facilities are provided?

We provide a microwave and a fire pit. You may also hire a BBQ at a cost of £5 GBP per night.

What do I need to bring?

You should bring bedding, pillows, crockery, and cutlery. However, if you are travelling light, you can hire these items from us.

Can I order any extras?

Yes, you are able to hire bedding, crockery, cutlery, towels and sleeping bags.

Is there parking next to the Wigwam® cabins?

Yes, there is parking next to the Wigwam® cabins at Loch Ness Shores.

From what time can I check in from?

You can check in from 2pm – 8pm in summer, and 2pm-6pm in Autumn, Winter and Spring.

What time do I need to vacate the Wigwam®?

You must vacate the Wigwam® Cabin and return your key to reception by 11am.

Do you have a shop/ reception onsite?

We do have a shop and reception onsite.

How many toilets and showers do you have onsite?

We have an award-winning toilet block onsite. There are individual and family shower and toilet facilties.

Do you have a family shower for babies?

Yes, we have a family shower that you can use for babies.

How close is the nearest pub or restaurant?

The nearest pub is a 20 minute walk away. In the summer months, we also have our own food van offering gorgeous breakfasts and dinners.

How far is the nearest supermarket?

There is a well-stocked local shop within 2 miles and the nearest supermarket is 17 miles, in Inverness. If you are coming via Fort Augustus there is a small supermarket there too.

How far is it from public transport?

There is a bus stop 50 yards away and a train station 20 miles away.

Is there Wifi access onsite?

We provide Wifi in our cafe and free awning area.
